Abstract
This paper presents the development and validation of a coupled-field finite element model to predict the response of a piezoelectrically actuated bistable laminate for structural morphing applications. Derivation of materials properties and validation of piezoelectric actuator model against experimental data are described. The model shows qualitative agreement with experimental results.
