Gris-Sanchez, I., Mangan, B. J. and Knight, J., 2010. Reducing spectral attenuation in solid-core photonic crystal fibers. In: 2010 Conference on Optical Fiber Communication, Collocated National Fiber Optic Engineers Conference, OFC/NFOEC 2010. IEEE.
We describe the effects of fabrication process timing and preform exposure to atmospheric air on spectral attenuation in photonic crystal fibers. The lowest attenuation is achieved by rapid processing.
