Abstract

The primary purpose of this document is to specify what is required of data management plans written in relation to research projects undertaken in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Bath. It will also inform the creation of an intermediate document that will serve both as a template for such plans, and as a plan for the Department as a whole. The requirements are derived in part from a requirements elicitation process conducted with representative stakeholders within the Department, and in part from a study of best practice drawn from the literature.
