Abstract
Assessment of orthopaedic implants is essential. The current methods have limitations, which have allowed the use of inappropriate devices and materials. A proposal for the integrated use of Roentgen Stereophotogrammetric Analysis (RSA) measurement technology to address some of the current limitations of musculoskeletal models of implants is made. Such models have the potential to provide an enhanced assessment of orthopaedic implants.
