Abstract
[Zn-4(PdCl2)(2)(pydc)(4)(H2O)(4)(THF)(6)] center dot 3.25THF (H(2)pydc = 3,5-pyridinedicarboxylic acid) was formed from the reaction between Zn(NO3)(2) center dot 6H(2)O and trans-[PdCl2(pydc)(2)] in THF, and was shown by X-ray crystallography to have a three-dimensional network structure in which {PdCl2(pydc)(2)}(4-) metalloligands are linked by Zn-2 centres to form a mixed-metal coordination network.
