Timber is a natural material with difficult anisotropic properties but, due to its fine sustainable credentials and our ability to handle complex design parameters in computer analysis, its use is increasing. This paper (Part 2 of 2) addresses the environmental properties of timber and gives short case studies to illustrate the points made in both parts 1 and 2.
